'New' Triumph dealer in Nottingham

Since the sudden loss of Nottingham Pidcock's dealerhip the nearest Triumph dealer has been either Lincoln or Chesterfield. Triumph Chesterfield are now creating a dual branded site on the existing Robin Hood Harley Davidson dealer on Meadow Lane in Nottingham selling both Triumphs and Harleys.

This looks really positive as the Harley dealer doesnt seem to have a high foot-fall, so maybe this dual branding is a more efficient way of going about it from a costs perspective. I bet Triumph are pleased to have a dealer in the locality.

One hopes the consolidation works for them. I think we will need to see a return to multi-franchise dealerships as sales decline further. Solus dealers will not be economic, especially for niche brands like Harley, as we have seen with multiple closures. My closest Harley dealer in Wolverhampton has recently added the Piaggio brands so they are now my closest Moto Guzzi dealer.
BMW seem to be encouraging more car dealers to add bikes like we have in Chester, Shrewsbury and supposedly in the near future, Cardiff.
