New tyres needed

After 11k changed the rear Michelin Annekee 3's to a new one, not had a problem with it, probably could have done another few hundred miles. Front is still in good for another 1-2k but Hopefully the shortage will not last too long.

Thats encouraging! Have about 1500 miles on mine right now and am off to Croatia next week, reckon we'll be doing about 5000 miles in all so they should be fine, lots on here don't like them but I think they're a good tyre, BMW must think they're good enough

Got fed up with tyres squaring off ..on my third set of tkc70 now and love them...did Furka pass in storm last week..pissing down and wanted to get down quick out of lightening....didn't hang about and tyres were brilliant..two up....twisties on Stelvio and some motorway..... top tyre for me...

+1 for the TKC70's, brilliant tyre and surprisingly good around the corners and spot on-on long motorway stints.

I've bitten the bullet & ordered PR4s at £200 delivered.

Don't forget your tyre plugging kit and a pump or CO2 bottles - I've had two punctures on PR4's this year due to stone chippings and nearly had a third after riding over a section of the A170 near Sutton Bank that had recently been resurfaced - I stopped at the visitor centre and inspected the tyre and a chipping was stuck in one of the grooves and had cut through the rubber all the way to the carcass

Avon Trailriders for me next :beerjug:

Very happy with the Avons.

Those Avons look nice, I flip between Anakee II/III and TKC 70's but may be tempted to get a set of these.

I'm back to square one, after asking my dealer to fit the Avons to my new GSA, then hearing that they rub against the Mudsling.:blast

The Metzler Roadtec 01 will be going on my yoke when I have the Avons beaten.
It's a while since I had an out and out road tyre on the bike and looking at them I'd say they'll be fantastic for the wet Irish winter.

I was expecting to get a pair of Dunlop Roadsmart IIIs fitted today to replace the 5500 mile Anakees, which TBF had a bit of life left in them, but I wanted fresh rubber for my forthcoming euro adventure.

I say expecting as the dealer told me their wholesaler couldn't get a pair for this week and there is a shortage, they are on back order!

So I plumped for the Tourance Next. The first fifty miles seem good and quieter than the Anakees. The dealer told me they fit them to a number of "Profesional" touring bikes who get between 6-10 k miles.

We will see
