fitted to the RT LC

went for PR4's not the GT's as I think they are too stiff for the bike. About same weight as previous model which doesn't need stiffer tyres. bike felt better on the road, less skittish, holds the road better, all imho of course.

I only ride myself and usually without the panniers fitted. Though will be loaded up for the week when we go for the battle fields tour in a few weeks.

Last week I had the PR4 GT's fitted to my 2010 RT.

The person who fitted them said they were the ones for my RT.

Yes they are the recommended Michelin fit for the bike if you are a "Grand Tourer" (whatever that means) and they also say that PR 3s are OK if your are a "Tourer" (again whatever that means compared to a Grand Tourer).

I currently have GT4s and find this GT version to be stiff with no suspension assistance in the tyre itself. I will be going to Italy in May and put off getting new tyres put on as I was unsure about which to go for PR4 GT or PR3s.

I would be interested to hear how the OP gets on on his trip.

Last year with the GT's on I couldn't ride down a single track road in Dynamic/hard setting, as the bike was virtually un rideable bouncing all over. Saying that, when I had my older 2013 RT TC the sport setting was very good, also on PR4's.

The hard setting on the LC is ok for smooth as glass roads but nothing else.
