every time i get to thinking i'll keep the bike i've got, i see pictures like that and change my mind. i'd buy that.

...but i'd want the variable valve timing, diesel head version (with a steering damper) :bounce1

BMW have addressed the scuffed frame problem with a huge heel guard. We must have these retro fitted to 2013 bikes:D

Looks fugly and very complicated around the front end/headlight/mudguard etc

First bike that looks similar from the front as well as the rear view, very strange.
The upper crash guard is too much.

Insect

Hey Cookie

looks familiar

Feck that's big :eek

However, it's the first of the Adv variants that I've actually given more than a passing glance to and actually find myself quite liking it. Very bruatal/functional looking and taking Cookie's theme it feels very 'Starship Troopers' to me. Loving all the angles and headlamp/beak/front area.

Top crash bar looks almost as shite as the aftermarket ones that peeps fit to vanilla GSs though..............

Oh, and I still wouldn't get an Adv :)

Looks good to me, but would prefer larger handguards though. Hopefully they'll do a colour that no one wants - that'll be the one for me :thumb

Bob

(p.s. previously I've had an orange GS, and now a Yellow GSA, there aren't many of these about up here so it's always easy to pick mine out amongst all the grey and triple blacks in the car park! )

No clear place for the tax disc to go though is there, the tank and cylinder head guards look like overgrown paper clips.
Think I'll put my order in for the panniers now, just need the part No. for the push rod and the orders on. :thumby:

A few splashes of colour would work wonders for that. Just not that shonky pale blue please:rob

It is a b&w pic though, isn't it?

I'd like it as it is. Not too shiny black pretty much everywhere.

To my eye the GS Adventure has to be one of the ugliest motorcycles made and this one certainly continues the tradition. It is so bulky looking and high in the front, completely un-aerodynamic. And the body protector pipes curving around only draw more attention to the massive bulk. The bikes do work pretty well though and I'm sure this one will be even better.
