Hi Everyone,
My winter gloves are on their last legs, so I am on the look out for a new pair,
I am after some Gore-Tex ones, that have a Velcro strap to stop them coming off in a spill, and are warm. I have been to my local Hein Gericke, but couldn’t find any that met my requirements. I am now considering going to my BMW dealer and having a look there, but I fear I will hammer the plastic!

Does anyone out there own some winter gloves that they are happy with? That keep there hands warm/dry?

Thanks in advance :)

Andy I ride all year for a living sometimes 14hours a day...my current winter gloves(3 years old) are the HIENE GERIKE PATHAN GLOVES I think thats the name its the ones with two fingers into one, which assits in the warmth and without doubt the most water resitant so far they have lots of velcro and with heated grips I have never been cold....not bad value either £30 ish...hope this helps, but get em at BMF rally for even cheaper value!!

Frank Thomas

I use the Frank Thomas goretex ones fabric and leather construction, never let a drop in, warm and not to thick about £60, the model I have has been superseded, but the newr version is supposed to be better, worth alook IMHO.

Pathan

I agree Two finger Pathan best winter glove I have tried.
Bought a pair of Frank Thomas Chill Out but too thickly padded, no feel from controls.

Try Pathan for £30 its worth a go.

cheers

Hi all,

I will give the Pathan glove a test when I go to Gericke's. I might sit it out until the BMF if my current gloves hold out!
I have heard Held tankbags are good, but I havn't come across there gloves, I will look out for them :thumb

Cheers for the reply's :)

BMW have just launched some new winter gloves.

Goretex, fleece lined, and only £65 (I think)

If they're anywhere near as good as BMW's last effort, they'll be worth every penny.

Just had a pair of the Richa Carbon Winter glove, warm and waterproof, very pleased with them.:thumb

If it's not raining, just bleedin' cold then you can't do much better than the elkskin ropers from Aerostich. They are really thick but supple leather and are very warm on even the coldest days. For anything other than the very heaviest showers they are also fine in the rain. I have mine well treated with Renapur and light rain just runs off them.

Soooo many choices, I can make a ride out from this, on a mission to find the bestes't gloves my budget will buy :)

Agree with Mike,

A pair of these - Elskin Gloves

Combined with windstoppers for those really cold days

And you should be happy and warm. Worked for me in sub zero degrees riding a treat.

Bearing in mind that its only a few days from the official start of spring and the worst of the cold weather is hopefully over, how about waiting a few months...lots of places have sales to clear stock for their summer stuff and you should be able to pick up some reet nice bargains!

just my 2p 's worth

:)
