Anyone got any accurate long range weather forecasts for the newyear period ?
Possible with a little more accuracy now. Not too bad, bit chilly though we are due to have snow in Kingussie, warmer on the coast so more like rain in Strontian

So prepping has started, bike given a good clean and check over, now to start filling panniers, with stuff

One week to go

Heads up for those using the Corran ferry.
The replacement boat is currently foot passengers only. It seems to be less reliable than the original boat.
Just looked, can't see anything about the boat not running.. either way it's no biggy, might be nice to run up to the loch head and do a loop

Boat got fixed yesterday, now running again...keep an eye on its facebook page

Are you coming over to see us?

Set off early for Strontian :D

Having Christmas at the nieces at Inverness. Brother off of Fairisle and with his other daughter at Lerwick at the moment. They fly down to Inverness tomorrow I think. I'm now at Haggs Bank, Alston for the night. Good run up with some rain and thick mist on the tops!
No one else here ....

When are you passing? Kettle on if I’m home (and plenty space if you’ve driven enough for the day)

From Strontian I'll play it by beer .... Portsoy, hope to meet up there with a good pal (Miss Milly and Chocky came from him) and from there I'll go with the breeze ..... unless I get the nod that the eight year old retiring Cocker is free from work and I can take her on :thumby:

Edit ... In which case I'll be heading south at 100mph to pick her up :D
Edit edit ... thanks Alastair :beerjug:

Just heard from Nick CT.
He and Lynne will not be there until sometime Monday 29th.
We'll have to save some Chilli for them
Will be a shame to miss Nick and Lynne, but, we now need somewhere with enough space for everyone on Sunday night for dinner
