New Years Day...Lets Get Plastered

Nice day Rob and i decided to go out plastered
Well we started off clean

If a little misty

Rob demonstrates how to ride a very slippy muddy section

Well for a short while

I was struggling a bit on this section ( cue Robs photos )
It is a slight uphill and clay

But i think i helped Rob by bringing most of it up on my bike

Rob was so pleased he even offered to clean it

Turkey sandwiches

All in all a good day out.....
And by the end of the day we were both plasted in

MUD

after my rather tiring run on the 27th i was fortunate enough to be in Rhayder,, so I popped in to the bike shop to see what tyres he had.
as it turns out the only had a set of 6 day extreme enduro tyres to fit th ttr, what bad luck, I really wanted MT21s

So off we trundled on my scary new tyres on the damp, foggy, cold and muddy roads, it wasn't overly warm but the trails would soon warm me up

the first couple of tracks were a bit slippy

but 3000 rpm in second will keep the tyre clear, apparently

soom good tracks, some great scenery and the odd "in the middle of nowhere" photo session

a quick refueling stop in crossgates (doesn't anyone in the service industry get a holiday ?) and then onto Llandrindod wells to pick up the final track of the day

this is a lengthy and interesting track with loads of varying surfaces and the occassional bog thrown in for good measure, just to see if you're watching where you're going

A great day trail riding it what I beleive to be an accurate interpretation of the word and what a great way to start the new year
