Well, the bike won't be ready in time (F800GS from Vines) but I may come along to Newlands in 'civvies' just to say Hi and wish you all the best.

our trio led by the very able achim?(sorry old boy if thats wrong)

gs john and myself

good to meet few other tossers at newlands

well goodwood was so quiet they let us ride around the track for a few laps:thumb

bet you wished you came now eh

Yeah :blast Dog deserved a New Year treat though. It is a great place to walk with the pooch. Once home I hopped on the GS and went over to Bury Hill but missed all but one of you (sorry didn't catch the name) red T reg 1100. Pity Goodwood areo club was closed but a bit of a treat to be allowed round the track. Last time I went I was told they had stopped people doing it because someone binned their bike.

Good to see a few hardy souls at Newlands. For a while I thought I was going to be the only one there!

I am sorry I didn't continue on to Goodwood now - must have been good riding round the circuit.

Sorry I missed the run. Up in London last night... very late night and very short on motivation this morning.

Managed to hold on to your key then Autogs!.. :augie

Newlands Corner to Goodwood

Guys, it was great to meet up with everybody! It wasn't as cold as I feared it might be, and the road surfaces of the Surrey lanes were actually very good. The only really dreadful bit was on the A286 after Midhurst where a few tractors had done their best to coat the road surface in Surrey's finest clay.

I was wondering last night whether there was any way to ride a GS over the embankment at the start. Just imagine: an empty race track :clap. Next year we'll have to investigate more closely...

I love Boxers: no cold feet, ever :bounce1!

Hope we can do something similar again soon.

Achim

PS: AutoGS, I'm impressed that you spelled my name correctly. Hats off!

PPS: GreatScott, nice pics, also on the BMW Club website!

Cheers pity I missed you once I got doggy home. Next time. Some good runs in Sussex. Haggisblower lead us out on a nice trip to Devil's Dyke. Look forward to a few more. Perhaps a bit warmer though. Even fat blokes get cold !
