Start the new year as you mean to go on :thumb2

I (with mikeyboys help) will be leading a Trail ride on Jan 1st 2014 departing from Melton Mowbray McDonalds at 9am.

If you wish you can park a van at mike's workshop (10min away) but please make him aware of your intentions.

Run will be a good mix of Minor roads, Rupps, UCRs and Green lanes. Don't be fooled by the location it will more than likely be extremely muddy and/or frozen and could be tough going in places. Having said that all are welcome, Bike big or small, enduro god or beginner, Only YOU know if your up to it :augie
Its a opportunity to get out and have a laugh ;) and start the year right :clap

Please arrive fuelled, and early if you want to have a maccys or fettle your bike. Due to limited daylight and a mixed ability group i want to get of early :blagblah

Please express your interest below
:beerjug:

ah, know I know who you are ;)
I could come along to slow you down again :rob but I'm working on the 31st & wouldn't be able to get up that early on the 1st.... have a good day :)

I would love to attend however, mud and my riding ability are incompatible so I will pass on this occasion, wishing a successful day out.

I hope you have a lovely time.

It's possible. I think my wife will need the car that day which has the tow hitch on. I could easilly ride from Burton though... so... easy ride there and back on the GSA but a bit of a handfull in the mud... or take an hour plus each way on the TTR250 but easier on the mud?

Would a toal novice on an old dt 175 mx slow you down too much? Def fancy it but wouldn't want to spoil your day :nenau

Looks like the Viking Way. You'll be fine on the GSA, just make sure you spend a few hours down the gym on the weights. :augie

Would have loved to come to this but sold my trail bike and haven't replaced it yet. I will be on the beach at Cromer on New Years Day. Have fun though. :thumb2

I think our route will be further south on this occasion,I also think we will be "doing" the lanes around burrough hill so a GSA will be entertaining to say the least.:clap

Did that area as well as Viking Way etc last christmas with the Trf, it was a bit muddy.:D

Hmmm, tough decision that. All i can say is me and mike have ridden most the lanes on a R1200GS with TKCs but its bloody hard at times.
The TTR would be a hoot on the lanes but i could see the ride home being cold.

The important thing is to come on something and have a laugh.

Seeing as the GSA is shod with Tourance Next's if I come it'll be on the TTR. Will have to leave early to ride to MM though! Let you know nearer the time.

Ok taking into account all the alcohol dependant moaning(mikeyboy!), new McDs depart time will be 10am if you can't get sober and organised for that time, then let's face it you never will :)

Can't decide wether to come on my X-country or the XT250 - the X-country could really do with new rubber if it's really wet & slimy - and I suspect it will be !

Well the weather forecast looks wet so the mud should be, well muddy! On the upside temp looks mild.

Route is sorted, bike is nearly prepped so see you on Wednesday.
