Newbie Advice 1150 Adv Engine knock

Recently purchased 1150 Adv(2004) , great bike, first BMW. Impressed with ride and performance only problem is I have an engine knock/tick on left hand side, appears when engine warm. Really noticeable at tick over. I have ordered a new cam tensioner, I have very little knowledge of these bikes so is there anything else I can do to find the problem? I am prepared to take it to a garage to get it sorted , any recommended mechanic/garage would be appreciated ? I am based just south of Wrexham. This bike is used for my daily commute so need to get it sorted sooner rather than later.

Cheers, new to this engine so wanted to make sure nothing serious is wrong with it...

Mine was the same. Was purring after I fitted the updated tensioner. simple job with big reward

Vern is not far from you (south of Chester on the A41) if you need expert assistance in fettling your 1150. His bark is worse than his bite, provided you keep him supplied with tea and biscuits while he sorts your bike.
