Hello All,

Just discovered this Great site. I have been treating my RT like a G/S for a few years now and finally bought the real thing, an 1983 R80G/S.

Fun, exciting, and (costly) modifications will soon follow, after I run her in a bit...

Was checking out the site and saw my friend Sean Kelly is a member. Met Sean and Adrian while trolling Brothels, er,umm, I mean looking for a guesthouse in Bangkok a year or two ago.( Hi Sean). Also saw Fritz's (honeymoon?) picture of the snowmobiles on Frisby ridge, which is looking into my back yard(under the clouds), Makes me feel at home already...Cheers

Welcome to the mad Hoos............

Great Scottish name BTW.........:D

Welcome to the Mad Hoos or ho's, makes no difference Cameron,
:GSing must be some of the best fun you can have with your clothes on...... Also remember, no-one on this site has a sense of humour :postpics :D :D :D :D :D so get a pic of your toy on ASAP please..... keep us up to date with the development of your child:D

Pics of the bikes

Hope this works...

Bike pics?

Urdu is easier... How do I put pics on? Thanks, Peter

Hi Cam

Welcome to the site!!!

not THE SEAN KELLY of cycling fame - he's a legend - but it couldn't be - surely??

Is Revelstoke anywher near Abbotsford, Vancouver? I know B.C. is a big place mind.

I've overt there for three weeks and want to hire a bike without being ripped-off - any ideas Cam?

Info and thanks

Thanks for the welcome guys, and the info Para, I will try to put the the pics in the Airheads section.

Hi Stoney, I've never rented here so not to sure about rates. I'd guess about $200+ Canadian a day. Here are a few places to start looking.
www.arcticmoto.com
www.motorcycle-tours.com
www.canadawestvacations.com

And the two Bmw Dealers in Vancouver are
www.johnvalkbmw.ca
http://pacificyamahabmw.com

Another good source is www.horizonsunlimited.com but there is alot of info to sift through. try posting on the hubb or go to the links and find canada tours info...

Revelstoke is Halfway between Vancouver B.C. and Calgary Alberta, on the Trans Canada Highway. Six hours travel from either one. Your welcome to stay when you get here. Cheers, Peter

I'm missing something...

 Just like a sunday ride, I'm Lost and Confused.
Are new members resticted from posting Photos.
I am not getting any browse option box anywhere.
Cheers, Peter

Hi Cameron - welcome! Only Forum Sponsors may post pictures. Follow the link top right of this page to find out more

Hi Cameron, I have said this repeatedly.... the best £10, I spent in years, and when the sums get to cost / day... Mmmmm.
Also, not sure about not posting when not a sponsor ???? but when you have browsed, and clicked on the image you selected, it will come up in the browse box, at this point hit the submit button, if thats not what you have done so far.... I am described by my colleagues as a techno-feeb, and am inclined to agree, only recently learned what the backspace button can do.

Cheers,
Bedtime now.

Cheers Cam

I'll check out those links later today for more info. Prices are crazy really considering it's only costing me £240 a week to hire a Jeep Cherokee - oh well. Still I'll need my fix at some time I'm sure so I'l have to see who does what for how much and plump for the best option.

Cheers

Stoney

Cameron.. as Grizz says.. hit the submit button.
Do not try and "preview reply" as for some reason or other it seems to delete the picture once you then submit it (or it does for me).

Thanks

Thanks for the help guys, Feeling flush with a new high paying job, hence the G/S Project. So 10 pounds (2.5 million canadian peso's) is a bargain.
Followed Para's advice and posted pic's of the fleet at Airheads, will be needing modification suggestions for the G/S though.
Cheer, Peter
