Well after 18 months of CBRdom I've finally gone and got myself a proper ride. Am picking up my brand shiny new GS Adventure from Vine's (Mike Andrews top bloke btw) on monday
Saw it having its pdi on thurs, very pretty in an ugly kinda way(you lot know what I mean) , god this weekend is dragging!! Anyway, would appreciate any tips, things to watch out for, best way to run it in etc. Also any of you lot near me, would be good to meet you and go riding,really wnt to try some off roading.

top the madhouse Yeti. There are a few boys around your area I think, certainly a few in the London area. Get yourself a comfy seat, hit the search button on the tabs above and type in any queries you have or hints you'd like.

Chances are someone's asked the question before and you'll get several hours of reading.

Enjoy your new toy and keep an eye on the boards for local meets etc. Ace cafe is probably your nearest but there are loads. It gets expensive now with, Remus can, extra lights, touratech this, Wunderlich that, blah blah blah....

I went from a CBR to a GS last year. 7months + 7k later no regrets whatsoever.

Tips are:
-Watch the oil (do a search on how to check the oil )
-Don't look at the Touratech website
-Don't look at the Wunderlich website
-Don't look at the Nippy Norman's website

Unfortunately cannot do hog roast as I'm at bloody work all next w/e (well it's gotta be paid for, Mr BMW wouldn't give it to me ).
But will try to get to as much stuff as i can. Will be puttin plenty of miles on her tho, as it'll now be my only form of transport. And the advice not to look at the TT catalogue came too late, I have already been corrupted !
