Newbie to the site please could you help with who you consider the best and nearest BMW dealer. I am thinking of the R1200 gs I live in Padiham next to Burnley. Please could youy give me info on dealers around my area.

I've had two bikes from Southport superbikes - A1 go and see Roy and Mike, they will sort you out without any pressure - its a nice ride out to boot

Alan Jefferies is probably the easiest to reach and do a good job, but they are expensive compared to Williams. I can't comment on SS, but they are a pain to get to.
