Newby GSER ... couple of queries after picking mine up today !

Hi all,

Been looking at these forums for ages before deciding on going for a GS LC.. I picked up a 2013 (with 1200mls) standard with premium and active package along with alarm. Apparently there were no TE's available to original buyer so he made it the same, bar the LED headlight.

I've got a couple of queries having now had the bike home and a more detailed inspection. Where the engine bars fit (see images), should there be some sort of cover ?

Also, are my exhaust headers chrome plated, as with one of the packs it should be ?

Yeh. They look chrome to me kidda. Mine were chrome and yours are identical matey.

Is the bike on the side stand?.... No oil in the sight glass......worth a closer look....

You want to give those a rub with a product called BLUE AWAY , My chrome went like that, but never went as bad again after the first treatment

Its on its side stand .. the engine does contain oil

With the chrome plated exhaust system, is the can any different ??

No mate. Exhaust the same... im pretty sure your chrome exhaust is manufactured from stainless/s.
