Hi, I have been lurking in the hexhead forum for a few years and am now thinking of going LC. Obviously budget is tight and I have found a GSA within my budget. However, it's not a TE model. Does the lack of electronic suspension wizardry make a huge difference?

imo no,i road tested a few te models and found the suspension a tad harsh,bike i bought has normal shocks and i have not found it wanting tbh,if they go off i will replace with wilbers which will out perform the originals and no electrics to faff about with.
For me it would depend on the buying situation. If it were two dealer bikes, second hand with 2 year warranties, i'd pay an extra few hundred for the TE. The ESA, LED headlight, rider modes, Fog lamps, etc would be worth that. But given my suspension shock was replaced and issues others have had, if it weren't in warranty i'd probably favour the simpler bike!

Unless you do a lot of riding in the dark the LED lamp is no great advantage, as for suspension go for non ESA as there is a lot less to go wrong (especially if you are paying for it with your own money and intend to keep it) and when the miles do get up its much cheaper to replace non ESA shocks for good quality aftermarket than replacing ESA shocks which still rely on parts from the originals in most cases
agree wit you about shocks but not the led headlamp,how can you not ride in the dark its winter?
It's got the right extras. I never altered the suspension on my GSs but use the cruise control and Nav often. You can easily add heated grips whiich wil be better than those on a TE.
Heated grips on my 2015 TE work well. Plenty hot enough on one bar; never use both bars.
Agree but would prefer three settings. Two seems a bit basic.
