OK its time to start up some rumours, (lies?) I have a severe longing for a megamoto, which got me thinking what's next from the HP garden shed? A HP4? This I believe will be covered with the new SBK racer. I think that's the 4 cylinder pack covered for a while, the boxers have the 3 HP models. What's next then. I would love to see the F800 get a megamoto version but is that likely given that I would like to see at least a 100hp. Is that too close to the existing MM. So dig up your photo shop certainties and give us your wishes, :D
:popcorn

What about a HP1? That never materialised despite speculation.

EDIT - Dammit, note to self must remember to ignore the HP2 lot.......... :(

The next engine upgrade is to the RT1200 in the form of a twin ohc engine ala HP, followed some months later with the tohc in the GS.

No need for Photoshop Fantasies,have a look at the Real Deal;

Yes I saw this, and have tried to buy the wheels but they are not available as bwm refuse to sell the hubs on their own so 17" wheels can be built. I am trying some other avenues, I can get my wheels rebuilt but then I wouldn't have the original wheels anymore to go with the bike if I wanted to sell. G650 xmoto wheels look like they might fit though :green gri but at what cost :eek

I know some of you have seen this but......... its great!!!

Have you been taking something you shouldn't have

Saw the bike in Milan a couple of years ago - it looked as horrendous then as it does now.

The Schnitzer bike was at the Cologne show, and was mildly disappointing in the flesh, the photo's do flatter it.

I haven't seen it in the flesh, but I must say when it was grey it looked much better. Too much white for my tastes and I am very partial to the white side :D. Mine will look so much better ;)

I read this thread twice and its what has got me looking to the dark (light?) side. I am struggling as what to do. F800 MM or HP MM either enduro conversion or the actual MM. Not many f800MM's about so it would be interesting to do. BUT if BWM produce a power up version I would want one of those too  hence this thread for rumours (facts?).
OR a HP1 desert express...............................:blast
:nenau
:D

OK last 2 offerings...... I don't think BMW will bring out anything as Iconic as the HP2 enduro for a long time......

Hi
Hmmm...my thoughts...
The HP2E didn't show up from nowhere. It was a hidden card.
About 20 years back the company decided to change direction and follow a shortcut in an effort to approach a larger consumer base. They experimented with some lower production cost innovations which in due time proved reliable and popular.Telelever for example. Thus the 1200 GSs are so many around us everywhere todays.Second world selling model or about so.This is the key idea that someone must realize to try answer the "Next HP2 (4?)" question. The HP2 is not a 1200GS improvement. It's a completely different bike. The HP2E is a straight line follower of the R80-R100 G/Ss.With a 20 years technological boost of course :D It was a hidden card.
For us who were not happy with the shortcut,it was a long awaited dream that came true.Seems that a few people in the company shared the same dream. We are so thankful that they were given a chance to bring it to reality. The HP2 is the real GS.
Anyway, there were no revolutions in the streets for the HP2 nor was it a big profit for the company. Moreover, the same dream can't come true twice :)
