yes i have two nexx helmets and an intercom in each one ,they work brilliant and batery has lasted well,the first one packed up after a day but was replaced and no issues at all since.
just remember when answering a call its a very quick press to the small button in between the the two "x",s.
as for playing music,well it could be a tad louder ,but i am just knit picking .

Two years on and my recommendation would be don’t bother, utter rubbish. My 25yr old autocom is way better and just works. The only function that can’t do is separate mine and the wife’s music, which we were told we can do with these. But as yet we’re really struggling just to get them to talk to each other and play any music. We think we’re somewhere near but this is with us sat in our Moho trying things out, we’re yet to add earplugs and actually get out on the bike.
Loved my Nexxcom 2, still in my old helmet, did everything I wanted it to do and good battery life as well.
Another day out with both helmets and bloody useless still. We had them working in our Moho yesterday. Today on the bike mine lost its Bluetooth connection with my phone so no music at all, and just didn’t want to connect to it. We could talk to each other but the quality of speech from the wife was really poor. Think that might be caused by wind noise though. The mike in the upper visor opening puts it right in line of turbulence. We’re thinking we might try moving it to inside the chin bar like our old autocoms.
But mine just has a mind of its own. It dropped out the Bluetooth connection and turns on mesh which according to the app is turned off, but it tells me mesh is on when I turn the headset on. So we’re thinking I may have a faulty one, so will be returning to sports bike shop when we get home. If they agree it’s faulty I’m going to try and get a refund and just buy the base version like the wife’s. But in reality we’re probably going to ditch the lot and go back to autocom.
Just as a footnote, although I’m a confirmed technophobe, getting worse too, but the wife teaches IT at the local college and this kind of tech is right up her street. But even she says the instructions are really poor. They talk about a central button, but there isn’t one. There’s four buttons, back and front mainly for volume then two more in the middle but on the upper and lower edges, the only thing in the middle is the logo that lights in different colours for different reasons. They also call it a jog button in other areas of the instructions just to add more confusion.

Bit of an update. After two and a half weeks riding round Scotland we eventually got to the point where we could actually listen to our individual music from our phones via Bluetooth most of the time. And mostly at a volume we could hear, but at random times the volume would reduce to roughly half volume and others to virtually silent.
However…
Vox communication was just impossible. The delay in it opening the channel to talk was horrendous, as in literally 20 seconds or so. You’d given up long before, then it would suddenly open the channel. We eventually worked out it was easier to just use the upper(central) button to open the channel manually. Although this only worked from the wife’s helmet. My supposed higher spec kit didn’t seem to allow that to happen at all.
And at anything over about 40mph the wife’s speech was so distorted by wind noise I could hardly hear a word she was saying so had to slow down enough to make it audible. So we really need to see if we can move the mic to the chin piece. Not sure the cable for that is long enough to actually get it centred in front of the mouth like we do with the autocom kit.
These new helmets are intended for two up riding, I still have my Schuberth S2 for most of my solo riding. Although that only really has another year or so of use left as I do a good number of miles a year so they get pretty minging by 5years old. I’ve got my eye on a NOS S2, but it’s a bit pricey for such an old stock helmet really. I have tried an S3 and it’s so fecking different there’s no way I could have one. Couldn’t even get my chin inside it, Christ knows how they’ve fecked it up so much. So I’m also looking at another NEXX, the lower spec Y100 model. In due course I’ll get SBS to get one in for me to try. If it’s an option I may get one with another comms kit, but this time the base spec kit which I’d fit to the current helmet, fitting my existing Mesh model in the Y100 where in theory I’d only use it to listen to music. Kind of thinking that having matching kits might work better two up. Although most likely I’ll just fit a new Autocom headset in any new helmet and stick with that as it ‘just works’.
