Don't suppose anyone knows if there is a stockist in the London / Essex area, where I can try one on? Looked on their website and did some google searches but nothing useful has come up so far!
Many thanks

Adventure Bike Shop

Try the company below, I know they have stock, I brought one on Tuesday. They have a good range of sizes and some colours but not all due the shear number of combinations but they can order. They also have Shoei & Schuberth to compare. I had my first ride in mine today as the weather was so good, very pleased the XD-1 is quite tight so will take a little time to loosen up but its quiet, comfortable once on, very good quality, good vents, warm and very good visibility.

Good luck finding the helmet I mentioned this site & got 10% off but keep it quiet.

Ahh Ok thanks very much for the info. Barny. I'll pop up there at some point and have a look! I will try to mention the discount discreetly! :). I'm hoping it will be as good a helmet as my Tour X with some added features!

I was looking at their website the other day and also liked the look of them. Would you be able to post your in a couple of months after you've lived with it for a bit as would be intersted to hear what you think.

Nexx XD-1

I will update my review in a few weeks once I get some more miles done as requested. But so far very pleased, prior to the XD-1 I had a Shoei Multitech which I have worn for 8+yrs and I would say the Nexx is quieter but it is full face as opposed to the Shoei Flip-up. Incidentally I ride a Yamaha S10 with standard screen what difference the GS/GSA will make I do not know but the screen on both are bigger than the S10.

I have found that the XD-1 should be able to accommodate my Autocom headset as long as the outer casing is removed from the speakers which is very simple to do and then the speakers can be attached to the helmet in the existing recesses by Velcro. The recesses are 40mm dia and the speakers are 30mm.

Regards
Barny

Keep the feedback coming.

Riding with a Tour X3 at the moment and needs changing in next 6-12 months - Have never got on with Shoei due to head shape, always been with Arai but the integrated sun visor in the XD1 is a big appeal and also a bit cheaper than a X4.

Would be really interested to hear feedback from anyone with an "Arai shaped head" who has gone into a XD1. ;)

Well I really like mine :D

Had it since April last year(about 8,000 miles in all weathers) and rate it highly. I know helmets are a subjective thing so all I can tell you is that for me and my shaped head (Shoei wearer usually) it is extremely comfortable, good quality, quiet, fantastic wide field of vision, great visor system (which rarely steams up), great ventilation and has extras which are useful and work :thumb2:thumb2

I also use it with an autocom system (but with intaride headset) and get crystal clear duplex sound.

I had one minor problem, which was the cheek pad on one side becoming detached when removing the helmet. This turned out to be a faulty batch with a poor clip moulding. It was replaced under warranty by ForMotorbikes and I've had no problems since.

Hope that helps any prospective buyers.
