NI Motorcycle Festival, King's Hall Belfast 13 - 15 Feb

Going by previous years, probably nothing more than you'd see in a good shop Arthur, but sure if you didn't go you'd only be thinking that you missed something. :mmmm

Aye, well, I'll risk a tenner and have a butchers'. Found a quote in that well-known organ of truth and democracy 'The Coleraine Times':

"Billy Nutt said: "For the 2009 festival we are pleased with the response we are having from the manufacturers and dealers to date.

"All but one have agreed to be at our festival with their 2009 models on display, which in the present economic climate shows how important the festival is to the motorcycle trade."

Any bets on who that might be :augie

every year i say i won't go as it will be carp.
then i do go and it's carp.
why don't we all say no this year then maybe next year will be half decent:rob

It's us that aren't going to be at the show this year Arthur (Hurst BMW). Reason being that as long as all goes to plan we'll be doing something later on in the year instead.

Mark.

Now there is a cabalistic statement if ever I saw one.....................

cabalistic, now there's anew word and I like new words; so I look it up.

cabalistic; Having a secret or hidden meaning

Thesaurus: cabalistic;Difficult to explain or understand: arcane, cryptic, enigmatic, mysterious, mystic, mystical, mystifying, occult, puzzling.

A lovely word entirely

Bugger me!
Be sensible Folks, It would mean having to spend money to put a presence there and who would man the tills??? Ooops I mean Person the Tills??????????

Current Economicc climate and all that!

For the only BMW dealer in the province it is disgraceful that they can't/don't make the efoort to be there, but they expect us to buy their bikes. Shame on you Hursts.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Sorry, but I don't blame Hursts for this, I blame BMW UK. It's they who don't support the show in this wee country, because it's just a relatively small local show. If you want to go to a proper show, visit the NEC or Milan etc.

My view of Hursts is pretty well known at this stage, but I'd say that's probably the reason alright Davy. The number of bike sales here most likely wouldn't justify the expense of it all in good times let alone in the present financial situation.

Sure, with all the money they save they could donate a good raffle prize for Kesh. :P

I think the best thing to do as regards going to the show, is to ride to the Kings Hall and have a good look around the parking area. Its free, as long as you walk in, and will have more bikes than the show inside!
