Bought this beautiful 1250S as a stop gap when my 1250GS was stolen.
Toured Ireland and it didn't miss a beat.
So quick, pretty comfy, and low tech. Bought with 14500 on the clock, added a powerbronze touring screen, radiator grill, soft luggage, but now sporting rear rack and top box purely for commuting reasons, although I'm not a fan but its a practical mod that can be removed at will.
It's grown on me as I had a 600S some years ago and regretted selling it almost immediately.

Somewhere in Ireland. The touring screen takes a lot of wind blast off.

Great bikes.

Didn’t get on with the 1250 I bought from Alistair Sutcliffe on here a few years ago.

But I’m very fond of the 1200’s.

I think the oil heads were brilliant bikes. My 600 was oil cooled, I dearly wish I hadn't sold it. Bought it new. It was FDSH With about 15000 on the clock when it went.

I had a 1250 (black engine model) and regretted selling it. What a beautiful engine. My only dislike was the non matching instruments.
I now have a Honda CB1300 which is similar to the Suzuki in many ways.

I bought my first 1200 new in '98 when I was 18.

I remember it well. Motorcycle City in Shipley.

I actually went to buy a 600 but they had them both next to each other on a display stand.

The 600 was £3999 and the 1200 £4999.

edit- Just checked, it's still out there somewhere S450 SND.

I had S438 SND, Bandit 600S brand new from motorcycle city in Italian marble red! 2 years later bought brand new naked Bandit 1200 (W846FUM - still out there) from power sports £4999, run out model. Suspension on the 1200 was night and day compared to the 600's pogo sticks.

I also bought another new 1200 from Power sports a few years later.

YL05 DYD. 1200N anniversary colours. £4700 otr. Total bargain.

edit- Untaxed since 2017, so probably gone to scrapyard now.

Yeah, I miss the totally analogue dials.

I think that could have been taken in Ballinamore, Co Leitrim.
Nearly, we were in Roosky, by the river. Stopped for a while en route from Dublin where we landed, to Sligo to commence the WAW southwards.
At that point we were chatting to a couple of locals who gave us some great advice. In fact, everyone we met along the way were so nice and helpful with local knowledge and good routes. Also found Father Teds house.
I must go back another time, its so beautiful.

Roosky. Lovely place

I had my "I'm 40 FFS, best buy a fireblade" moment in 2006. I lasted 2 months with it and chopped it in for a 1200s Bandit, new, and paid the princely sum of £4500. An utter bargain. Kept it 6 years. Superb bike.

And, Honda are releasing a new trad bike: cbf1000 so I've heard, so I'll see how that goes, but I love the cockpit fairing... if it comes to the uk

Nice bikes, I wish they were sending the final issue of the cbf1300 super 4. They are stunning, but only doing them in Japan
