On our way from Calais to Charlie Mez in June, we found the following place just North of Saint Quentin on the D1044. A family run place with great food and frequented by lots of locals, which is always a good sign. Please note that it's shut at weekends.

Wow, still in business, make the most of it, by next year it will be a kebab and Pizza shop.

Just returned from a trip, and year on year the village bakeries and resturants close, and a Kebab shop appears, and if that does not appeal you will typically have a McDonalds not too far away either on your route or slightly off.

Took a mate who I think was expecting us to be eating in nice little cafe's and restuarants the entire trip, France was Kebab and Pizza, Germany was Kebab, Pizza or Bratwurst and Luxembourg had fuck all as we missed the 3 weeks of the year most of their restuarants open for.....

....Then the night we were in a family run French Hotel he complained about the 3.75 course (3 courses, plus unlimited bread rolls and a cheese board) set meal that cost a whopping 28 Euros - no pleasing some folk!
