i did turn............up....where's my beer
but we was in the car ,
we went to Kenal..........and to devils bridge
brought another motor.........came home and sold the saab ,...........happy days
so the motor echange is out of the way..should be able to get out next week.. Yorkshire anyone
That was a blindin' ride today - nice one Stretch, great route and leading matey. That got my new tyres nicely started 
The Hardknott / Wrynos passes were the dog's doodahs today in that great weather
Best bits:
The whole route, perfect weather. All the passes were great.
Funniest bits:
The couple sat by their car at the bottom of one of the Hardknott steep, sharp right turns having a brew and watching as 2 Tossers and a 650 Honda come hurtling round the sharp right - I end up laughing out loud hysterically in my lid and that set them off laughing.
Tony getting a wasp in his new Shark helmet after only having bought it a couple of hours earlier. Never seen someone stop so quick on a bike. I then stop along side him, find out he has a wasp in his lid, I double up laughing, only to find I've got something of a decent size crawling across my stomach underneath my t-shirt. The pair of us leap off our bikes and as Tony is slapping his head trying to get rid of the wasp, I'm getting my jacket, lid, headphones, gloves off as quick as I can to get rid of my own nasty. Two blokes leaping about a country lane trying to get rid of unwanted visitors.
The not so nice bits:
Some dizzy mare in an oncoming car with a tractor blocking her side of the road decides she is above waiting and just guns out past the obstacle just missing Tony.
Some tw@t on the motorway near the Kendal turn-off deciding to pull right across with no signal or anything causing me and about four other cars to all slam on.
One quote from a guy and his missus drinking in the Woolpack at Hardknott:
"Did you just come through the pass on those bikes? Jesus wept, I sh@t myself just doing it in my car you nucking futters"
Stretch got some piccys and will post them up once he has erased the plates.
..and Stretch even got his hand in his pocket and paid for the ferry to Hawkshead folks (but not without asking about a discount as there were three bikes)!
Terry, great re. your car sales/purchase. Next time get that bike out, we need some Tourettes adding in to the rideouts

Sounds a great ride - pity I missed it
(I was playing on a jet ski in the bay, and had to abort to assist with an RNLI shout)

Should have seen Stretch get that angle of shot of his bike on Hardknott (right hand pic, yellow GSA), he ended up on his back on the tarmac to get it just right!
