Anyone up for a ride out tomorrow?

Weather is due to be lovely (if a little chilly), need to bed in my new rear pads and use up my mileage so I can coincide my mileage and calendar-based service... not much of an excuse but I'll stick with it :-)

Probably do a Aviemore, Tomintoul, Alford loop but may go wider if anyone wants to.

Or you could just walk down the road and ask if I'm "up for a ride" :green gri

But it's miles...
Silly me, I forgot, your legs are even shorter than mine :D

Done, what time/route Amigo...?
Your ride, your times.

But, as Gerrard has mentioned, the temps take their time to get above freezing. I only saw +2 this morning on the coast at 11am , so might I suggest we make a move no earlier than 10am

Here's the Norgies vesion of our weather for tomorrow:-

-4 just now...10.30 pm, roads clear but will be salted. My mates on call out in Banff on gritters 2mrw so there will be salt. Dry salt no problem if you wash it off when you get home....not an option here as outside taps all been frozen for days! Hence I'm taking L/R to BMW lunch @ Inverurie tommorrow! Why not call in? Hopeville Club, Harlaw Road

Will be Fife, Crieff, Tyndrum then Oban today, breaking in a new Tosser and a K1600, I'll be on 30yr GSA.

Blimey, I don't arf miss Britain ;)

It's about 15c here atm and will get warmer during the week :D We have had a bit of a problem with wind, fnar, fnar, but that has dropped this morning, so a ride out is on the agenda. Need to be careful going up into the mountains. Temperature dropped by 10c last week between sea level and 1000m. I almost had to put the more-than-adequate-for-here heated grips on.

Apparently the Spanish for retired is smugbastardo :ChrisKelly

Cheers BristolSaint (I can think of another pair of words beginning with BS... ;-) ), it was actaully a really good day.

SteveT and I set off with a slightly different route in mind, did a run along the coast then headed south to Inverurie to meet up with Gerard et al. Roads were dry (ish), very gritty and white but thankfully I only felt it slide the once (!).

Stunning sunshine from the outset, the Moray coast really is a beautiful place :-)

Arrived at the Social Club to be greeted and invited in, friendly folk with a bacon sarnie and piping hot tea meant a good laught was had, always good to put a face to a name. Don't think this will be the last time we set out this way on the 4th Sunday of the month...

Came back over the hills (Tomintoul -ish, Cabrach, Craigellachie then home) before washing the inch of much off and settling down to Sunday lunch, does it get any better?

A few photos (didn't take many as we were too busy avoiding lumps of snow and bl**dy crazy car drivers...).

A really good day and blew the cobwebs away.
