It says:

For this BMW GS1150 a special kit has been developed in coöperation with BMW-dealer Bert Duursma from Apeldoorn. This kit allows you to take your BMW Off Road. The kit consists of a specially designed frontframe which replaces the entire original system, a long 'Off Road' WP front fork, an aluminium rearframe and a WP rear shock-absorber. You can also choose between the original spoke and the optional special spoke wheels. For more information you can contact Bert Duursma motoren, 0031-55-3668591 or [email protected].

posted more for interest than my enthusiasm for it - it doesn't look right to me either. I DO like the airhead-powered special they do though - see last pic - it's called the Kangaroo or something like that - looks cool IMHO

It would handle interestingly with a Knobbly front tyre and road tyre on the back.
Some bugger has nicked the sparkplug cover too.

It looks decidedly dodgy to me!

On the regular bike, most of the front braking forces are passed through the telelever. Is the headstock strong enough to deal with it all? That the bike will now dive under braking helps a bit - but why bother? If I want a bike to go especially to go off-road, I'd buy an off-road bike!

I'll bet it doesn't stop too well either - only one front disc.

Greg

telelever and off road is not really a good combination, but I agree with Greg - you get to a certain point and what you need to do is buy a KTM and have done with it.

I think the airhead looks pig ugly (definatley NOT Judge). the standard ones are quite beautiful enough.
