Anyone else noticed the somewhat assymetrical cutting to the top of the windshield for the LC model.

I cannot understand why the left and right sides should be different so it must be a production cockup.

Contacted Nippy but no reply yet

Damn, I was going to be ordering one of these in the next few days. Any chance of some pics? I'd be very interested in the outcome of the call to the supplier.

Apart from Mr Hooton has anyone else got one of these? :nenau

If it's a Powerbronze flip up screen, it's fine,
Just fitted mine and did test ride. Bloody amazing!..It's so good to have a screen that works for me. Dry, quiet and no deafening roar. Spent an hour or so cleaning up the raw bandsaw edges with emery cloth. I was worried that screen may be dorky looking, not so,looks as good as original.

I have the same thing happening on my BMW std screen and my BMW tinted screen it leans to the left :blagblah

Removed and refitted it a number of times, but no change , must be in the mechanism ? Perhaps ;)

I think NN is on stocktake at the moment. Another week before he starts replying to emails.

Bike screen issues are so variable, my standard screen is near perfect as it is, I'm around 5-7/5-8 tall.

Is it the big guys that are having problems?

The LC screen is better than my Explorer screen which was pretty good, which in turn was tons better than my CBF1000 which was dreadful, in fact I sold the bike to get rid of the problem.

Must be all to do with shapes and sizes, I find the stock screen brilliant even on it's low setting!

Good luck guys!

NN Screen

hi got one two weeks ago and no problems, worked great for me and looks good, never had a problem with NN over three years and lots of BMW BITS.

Just fitted mine,
Not impressed to say the least,OK it wasn't a lot of money but it's thinner than the original so the mounting brackets don't nip up tight and it's definatlely not cut square at the top.

My ten penneth

Hi all, I tested the powerbronze for NN and I also found the edge on the screen very slightly unfinished but mentioned this in my report to NN. However I did totally recommend that he considers selling the screens as IMHO they are very good, possibly a little lower quality than the OEM one (also in the report) but a huge improvement, overall, because of the extra protection.

I`ve never noticed the `lean` you guys have mentioned but I have a red one to fit on Sunday (also for NN) and I`ll take some more notice!

One thing which is worth mentioning, just in case someone does have a momentary lapse of common sense, don`t try adjusting the screen at speed :bounce1 (and yes, not having the brains I was born with I did try it)

I got one from NN and fitted it, yes it is less well finished than the original, but I wonder how the prices would compare with the bmw unit.
Thing is, as said above, it is more effective than the original, have not noticed any 'lean' or differences in the lhs / rhs. Will look when on the bike next???
