Cockpit tidy

Anyone fitted one?

How easy was it?

Do I want a non-switched direct from the battery feed or a switched via the socket point in the standard wiring feed, for the accessory socket, given that it will be used for GPS.?

If direct feed to the battery presumably can I fit my battery charger direct into this socket?

Is the accessory socket BMW mini sized or the "normal" sized that the car world use?

Mudgaurd extender

Looks like it sould keep the crap off the front of the engine properly, looks like it comes with double sided tape to hold it on?

Anyone lost one? or is it OK?

Fitted the mudguard extender. used some small stainless nuts and bolts from a yacht chandlers, together with silicon rubber in the overlap. Its never shifted!

It does work but its not wildly effective. Still get a fair amount of crud on the cross pipe.

Got one recently, installed pretty easily. Socket is BMW (Arrid) type, same as already fitted.
I think it does the job nicely, but "cockpit tidy" is a crappy name for an accessory (sounds like it would come from a kitchen store or such like) but describes it well.

I fitted one too!

But I must be an utter nob head cos I thought it was hard!

Mind you, it has to sit with the Motorrad Concepts sat nav bracket (specially moddidid....id) and a cockpit cover part number 1 (specially moddid cos none of the holes lined up with bracket) requiring template, blind drilled and tapped holes and then all the clearances were out of kilter so made some spacers.

Looks the part now though! :thumb

Found the wiring a bit awkward as it recommends removing the tank to tie it to the bikes main loom. Arse. Pocked it through using a sink unblocker and a torch at the other end.

Want me to do yours for ya!

Good luck though.

Bodger.
