Morning.

Would anyone know if there is a write up anywhere on fitting a rear nitron shock to a 1150gs ?
I've had a look in the " The font of all wisdom " section but can't seem to find anything.
Will i need an extra pair of hands to complete the job , any tips gratefully received.

Thanks

I fitted a Nitron to my 1150 about 2 years ago. I can't remember the details, but it was straightforward - take the old one off and put the new one in.
Bit of a fiddle to get the holes lined up, but nothing major.

Bung it on the centre stand, I would slip the exhaust off so you can access the bottom bolt more easily. You could leave the wheel in but it will be easier with it out. Take the bolts out and fit the new one in. Make a note of the routing for the preload tube before you remove the old one. Simple and quick one man job:) I've got an Ohlins with a uprated Nitron spring on the back. I met the Nitron director on a holiday recently. Really nice bloke. Alergic to dogs though.

No need to remove the exhaust.

Remove the back wheel to facilitate shock removal, two bolts to undo and replace shock. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
