The setting in the repair manual for the front and rear calipers to slider tubes/rear wheel drive is 40 Nm, but I have just found an amendment that the front calipers with the Evo system (b*w on caliper) should be 30Nm to the slider tubes, should it be the same on the rear? Or are they still 40Nm.

Any help appreciated.

Going by every secondhand bike I`ve ever had,put a three foot long bar over the Allen Key/Ratchet and tighten it until your brow sweats, plus three 'squeaks' from the threads.....:D

Behave or I'll take the pimp lights off the plaster  :D :D

I always think tha 40nm is a bit bleeden tight for those more than most Jap bikes. You'll get away with 30nm and blue loctite I'd say:)

As the calipers have to come off to remove the wheel you want to tighten them enough so that you can still undo the bolts with the torx in the toolkit. (or whats the point in having the toolkit?)
Check tightness regularly.

Good points, will go with 30Nm all round from now.
