In case you don't know and to save you looking it up, the Charente is sort of half way down France and left of middle.
I don't know what other parts of France are like or what it will be like tomorrow, but round here, today, 26th. of May, they isn't any petrol.
This is in the local supermarkets and generally round and about.
Pas de fuel, zero, sold out.
I don't like being the bearer of bad news but it's possibly something you ought to be aware of if you're heading this way.
Hopefully it will sort itself out very soon.

Any idea why? :nenau

The fishermen have been blockading the ports as a protest about the cost of their fuel which has doubled in the last year or so hence no fuel is getting through.
Where we are is I suspect caused by the blockade at La Rochelle.
I know that the likes of Calais and Marseille and others were affected but no idea what their current situation is I'm afraid.

There's a load of us heading for the Alps in 3 weeks time, hope there's fuel available then..............:nenau

Fuel in Burgundy today.

No problems in Burgundy today. Rode some fantastic roads in the Morvan national Park, and got fuel in Autun. Got redirected to ferry port near Caen for crossing tomorrow night as Cherbourg has been blocked according to text from Brittany Ferries.

Update from middle France -
There was fuel at our local supermarket today in the Charente whereas yesterday there was none to be found at several local supermarkets, so hopefully the worst is over.
But small print bit - if you are over here and can't find any fuel then, (in my best Manuel voice) I know nothing.
