Anyone going to this, chalets are available for about 145€ and can accommodate a good few, bring your own towels ;)

. .is this one of these execrable behaviour rallies?

I can't really say - although only out the road from me I have never attended. I prefer to put up a few miles and tend to hang about with my (and your) age group (:rob). There is no evidence around Tralee of excremental (or whatever) behaviour.
A few years back there were contract sparks rewiring where I work. One had an IOM TT tee shirt. I asked him if he was a "biker" - yeah says yer man so I ask the next obvious (to me) question. What kind of bike you got?. None says he. Between bikes says I. No says he.
It transpired he was a non bike owning member of a bike club that make a lot of money running rallies (this is what he told me) and he drives to these events.
Strange - yes. Execrable - cant say; too find out I'd have to attend and that is not one of my immediate priorities.
To each his own but if I were a member of a tennis club I'd probably own a racket - will there be a racket in Banna this weekend?
Base to Bogman, base to Bogman .... come in please.....................

Only if you want it to be im sure :augie

Im going to have a good time, not a heavy drinker and will surely be hitting the sack long before the hoards, its an excuse to meet a few friends & renew acquaintances, get the Kerry Photorally point done and a Megalith or too visited, thats my modus operandi for most of the rallies :beerjug:

If it was held on Valentia Island last year, then there was a bit of trouble alright. Probably nothing more than drunken handbags really. I've long outgrown that sort of thing, which is why i don't go to rally's anymore.

there used to be a lot of complaints about non bikers going to this and starting fights and so on,but to be fair to the club i heard thay made a no bike no entry rule last year and it was a lot better,
only hearsay i have not been but quite a few friends of mine go every year

Dead right Frank, the year before there was a problem with a rough crowd that tried to gain entry in the early hours of the morning but were not allowed, they were fighting among themselves, last year was a smaller and more controlled rally, I never noticed problems 2 years ago

Thats the Wild Rose Rally, different alltogether, was there in 09 and had one of the best nights ever :aidan

Went for a long walk in the high hills today and got home late. The town is not burned to the ground, there are no bodies in the streets - a calm serenity pervades the town. I guess the no hopers rally passed offed uneventfully.
I saw a good few bikes about yesterday - did you have fun Bogman?

Fun, of course but so did everyone else, 100% hassle free as expected Gerry, a youngish group but not a troublemaker among them
