Hello all!

Since last Friday I am am now a proud owner of a new 1250 gsa exclusive TE:banana

BUT........

Tonight whilst playing about in the garage this evening with the dash it appears I do not have the ‘pro’ modes I was lead to believe the bike had? Is this a function that is only enabled after the first 600mile service? Or has my local stealership duped me?

Many thanks

Look under your seat for the red dongle and plug it in

No bitchy remarks from me.

stealership ffs, perhaps you should read the instruction manual supplied with the bike

Was told by dealer they had got rid of plug in chips on 1250 and was a software issue. So apologies for using this forum for advice on gs motor bikes and not a platform for immediately shooting people down from the safety of your own bedroom #keyboard warrior #justasking

Thanks anyway I will check under the seat to see if I have been miss informed previously.

I appreciate the assistance with this.

Take it back to the dealer and tell them to fix it
Not got what you’ve paid for

Think I’ll give them a call in the morning and see what they say . Cheers

Have a look at page 85 & 86 in your owners manual, if it's the same as my 1250 it'll show you where and how to install the plug to get the pro modes. IIRC BMW do it this way as you can switch off the traction control and ABS in the pro modes so they don't want any claims from someone doing it accidentally on a bike as supplied from the factory

Tom - what did the dealer say about pro modes ?
I have the same issue but was waiting until 600 service next week.

You lost credit the second you typed stealership. What’s that all about? :nenau

I just left mine under the seat and they installed it as pert of the 600 mile running in service, so I don't think that you've been done out of anything, that's just what they do as far as I'm aware.

Do they no longer issue manuals with the 1250?

All.
Yes there is a manual.
Page 88 tells you how to install plug.
There is NO plug to install on my new GS.
Just asking......

They installed it? At your request, if not it kinda leaves them open to the ravages mentioned in post#9

Not at my request (although I'd have done it if they hadn't), but the TC and everything defaults to ON when first installed anyway so I can't imagine there should really be any issues. Once installed, you have to go in and manually turn things off.
