Most people are quick to complain, sometimes with good cause and sometimes because they are just miserable buggers.
Had a perfectly good 1150 which served me well ,but just could not get out of my head that it was time to change.Sure loads of you have been there.
Sold it through this site without any trouble ,but then couldnt decide what to get next.Have a couple of 2 up tours planned for this year ,so RT seemed to fit the bill, but dont like the look of it and its a bit lardy.

Went to NOG and ordered GS but couldnt stop thinking RT would be better bet. Explained my predicament and they arranged I try both back to back. Both bloody good bikes at what they are designed to do,but after deep thought decided on GS.
Now sure I made the right decision, but without their help and patience I would never have known if I had done the right thing.
Used NOG a few times before with my old bike, parts etc and have always found all the guys friendly and helpful.

Not connected with them in any way except as a satisfied customer,so happy to pass on my good experiences.

How I wish I could say the same about my local Volkswagen dealer, but thats a whole different story.

You are right it is always good to see someone commending a dealer when they have good service. Keep it up. :beerjug:

If you were one of my customers I think that you would be getting some discount on your next visit for comments like that, or even better I would include you on the bacon buttie run if you were in on a Saturday morning:P

Another Witneyite! Excellent...

They're a great bunch at NOG, unless you have to talk to Steve of course...

:D :D

What's wrong with Steve? I will be moving up Oxfordshire /Warwickshire way soon and am looking for a decent dealer? Birmingham and Oxford being the nearest BMW dealers.

Yeah, Mark, what's wrong with Steve? :eyebrow

You might want to explain this next Wednesday at the Turnpike...?

hummm, I'm not sure that there is anything exceptional about that as service... at the end of the day that why they have demonstrators. I'd question any dealer that wasn't able to offer the same kind of service.

That's not to say NOG aren't a good dealer, just that offering a back to back demo is probably the only way to find out which bike really is for you.

It would be interesting to know if they'd do the same this with an X5 and an M5, I think you might find that the response is similar to VW as from the car prospective you are likely to be in the market for one or the other not torn between the two.

I used to play for the witney houstons (a rather rubbish lowly league basketball team) and lived in Lowell Place for three years ....

Steve is a thoroughly good chap, and I'd recommend NOG without reservation (and frequently have on here). :thumb

It's just that Steve has some, well, interesting hobbies...

I mean, he doesn't like to admit to the Morris Dancing nowadays, but he's incredibly good. I suspect the English Folk Dance Society would be hard pushed if Steve left. He's pretty tidy on the concertina (if you like that sort of thing) and knows enough jigs and reels to keep us all happy in the pub for hours. You should come along on Wednesday and see for yourself... :D
