Hi - my current helmet is a Shark Openline which has been fine but getting a bit tired. So after quite a bit of research and looking at Nolan and Shark predominantly (Neotec I found too ££) I settled on a Nolan 104. The helmet looks great, feels great but trying it out for the first time today I find it really quite noisy. This was just a quick 20min ride around some city/country roads. I then repeated the ride in the Openline and that is definitely quieter for me. I'm a bit disappointed as the Nolan in every other way feels good.
I could return it and try an Evoline 3, or does anyone have any experience of these helmets settling in to the shape of your head after a while and the noise reducing? Sounds a bit too hopeful to me but thought I'd ask!

thanks

HI - yes I use ear plugs for any longer distance but not for short trips around town, would be reluctant to have to use them every time when the current Openline helmet has been fine!

I'm wondering, I find the noise to be from around the sides, actually the ear area (if that makes sense!) as opposed to say over the top of the helmet which I get on the Openline at higher speeds. Now I know there is space for the com speaker system in this area and so could it be that there is less padding around the ears to make room for the come system ? Perhaps I could fill the void with some foam to get an improvement? That make sense? Anyone tried it?
