Caberg Justissmo bluetooth

What ones the best as a flip lid and communications or are they both crap and I have too much time to spare as the weathers merde' asking stupid questions

I have a caberg justissimo (not bluetooth) and find it to be very noisy, even at low speed and it's useless in the rain. So not a good helmet for us Scots.

I am also pondering on the nolan it looks good on paper.

Cheers Hank I'm going to wait and try on the Nolan:thumb

I've tried a Caberg on before but just didn't like it, it wasn't the Justissimo though

I have the Nolan N-Com.....been using it for about 8 months now...brilliant lid, bluetooth works well with tomtom & mobile phone...very clear comms..ipod works well also. No probs in the rain due to storm/weather chin guard. Sun visor and flip very good....hope this helps :)

I've had one for about 3 years..Justisimmo is a great design..Executed badly..
The internal Visor is excellent and it's best feature.
The external visor has quite bad sealing so leaks from the top in constant rain. The original supplied visors are a better fit than their replacements they offer, which are terrible.
It is noisy.

The flip mechanism is simple to use and seems to be very secure.

It's a bargain.

There seems to be a new version with the Bluetooth, so maybe they've made some improvements on the helmet?

I use the Scala Cardo bluetooth on my justisimmo and it's excellent and at about 80quid good value.

I never liked the look of the Nolan.

With the Justisimmo, I wouldn't go as far as crap.
It's a realtively cheap 140quid helmet...

I'd pay more for the same thing if they'd just get a better visor sealing, better noise reduction and better materials.

All Flip helmets are a compromise... They've just compromised too much with this Caberg.
I'm looking for a replacement for the Caberg flip and can't get a good recommendation from anyone (especialy this time of year when it's raining and cold)..

I reckon they're both crap

:D

Everyone seems to speak highly of the Shoei Synchrotceh, and they are around cheap on ebay at the moment as there's a new model out.

I got Nolan N102E.

Visor's pinlock style fog insert system is crap. Replace it with a glue-on type antifog insert if you plan to use the helmet for a long time. Visor wears out much quicker with the OEM insert.

It's much quieter than the previous N100 model, ventilation is relatively good. VPS outer sun visor is a nice thing, you can use it as a small beak like on enduro helmets to shade your view from the Sun too, easy to clean.

Overall good bang for the buck.

Don't buy it until you've tryed it tho! Flip-up helmets tend to differ very much from each other because unlike closed helmets flipups place much of their support on your forehead, so make sure you feel comfty in it.

I've been using the Lazer Revolution for 6 years now. I'm on my second and will buy a third if they are still around in 4 years time.

The visor lasts for 5 years if yer careful with it.

I have managed to mist up the bottom one inch of the visor after riding through a big puddle with a hot motor. Other than that it never mists up.

Sunvisor is the best in the business (yup, better than the Justisimo, the Schuberths the Nolans).

A friend recently did a face-plant with his at 40Mph (a van swerved into him) and the helmet took a beating but survived. He was unconscious for a few minutes, broke his right arm, little finger and left thumb but is otherwise fine. The helmet is trashed but despite the damage to the front the chinbar stayed down. The bike was written off (Ducati DS1000S).

The only negatives are that the visor does leak a little so ya get some rain dribbles on the inside, water tracks along the chin skirt so ya get a soggy neck sometimes, and it is noisier than non-flip lids.

Another friend prefers his System4 lid over the Revolution but the price difference is huge. I paid £150 for my Revolution, he paid over £400 for his System 4.

I've been using the Lazer Revolution for years now too.
A new visor for it was only 30 odd quid too. Great in the winter as I use the jetmask that comes with it so it doesn't steam up at all even stationary. :thumb2

I have an Ncom without the gubbins. Good lid, it's comfy, the flip is really good and the pinlock whilst it works in stopping misting, is indeed crap compared to Mrs Flips Arai.
Good value for money. Problem with Shoei for me was how close the chin bar was. I ain't no Mr Punch but the chin bar still touched.

:thumb2 I have the Nolan N-Com and been using it for about 6 months.:clap

Great lid, pinlock ok to date:mmmm and the construction / design is up their with the best.
