Hot news..

Plans are underway for the event in earnest.
I wish to draw your attention to a disclaimer for the event, bearing in mind we will have mental people playing with guns:

Anyone attending a Ride Out or Event organised through the UKGSer Forums does so at their own risk.
UKGSer.com or anyone organising an event posted here will not be held responsible in any way for damage or personal injury sustained while attending any such events.
Members attending any such event do so at their own risk

So there it is, i would suggest anyone under 18 be accompanied by a responsible adult.

I will be contacting all interested parties shortly, and asking exactly what you would like,ie camping and self catering, camping and wildlife bbq,or camping, bbq and clay pidgeon shooting.
I will have to ask for a small deposit to cover the food, cartridges, and clays which need to be bought beforehand,an emailed ticket and receipt will be sent in return.
By purchasing your ticket, you agree to the terms and conditions above.
Right thats the legal crap out of the way,the field has been booked for the weekend, ive managed to lay my hands on five 12 gauge shooters, the meat has been penciled in,invicta moto is sorting out the ride out for sat am,i'm maybe in need of a couple of volunteers with gun experience to watch over the shooting,it will be in teams, keep you posted on that one,if you are going shooting and you have ear defenders they will be good to bring.
May can be a funny time for weather, so if you see a tarp goin cheap grab it.you may need it.
Thats the latest,atb Paul

This sounds great!!!!
Room for another?
Never shot before so that might be a big bruise on the shoulder then!-OOOOPS meant to say a laugh. Actually I think it will be both!:thumb
Have you got a price together yet?
If so how do we pay you for this cracking sounding do?
All the best
Chod

If you need some help with the guns I have done a bit of clay shooting before, still can't hit many of the b*ggers though.

I only live a couple of miles from the camp site so let me know if you need any other help.

I still remember the laughs we had on the last camp out, what a night :D.

atb Nigel

HI Chod, yes no problem, you are welcome:),as regards payment,it will only be a small deposit prob £20 quid p.p.cheque or paypal.
The reason i havnt pm'd yet is because i'm still waiting for the price of the shooting and the Venison. As soon as i have those, were off, the camping as far as i know is a tenner for the weekend inc firewood ,which the farmer supplies.Ive yet to double check it, but im sure its ok.
There is quite an interest in this event,so i'm hoping everyone can help out with the cooking, there is a lot of people to cook for, i have a plan, all will be revealed..
Nigel(aka the curry king) has kindly volunteered to be the moving target for the shooting, thats fab, thanks mate.:thumb.
One of my chums with a mobile catering unit has said he may be able to cook us all a full english fry up brekkie on sunday morning, again TBA, this depends on numbers, as you can appreciate he wouldnt want to get up and cook 2 breakfasts, his profits wouldnt cover the petrol.
This is quite difficult to sort out, as im trying to do everything without overcharging people in the spirit of the club, and by the same token,i'm not rich either.
what i have decided is that , if any extra money appears as a leftover, it will be going to "Help for Heroes", a good cause you would agree.
So as soon as i have the definate prices i'll be on the pm.
Thanks again Nigel, top man.
Dont forget fancy dress on the saturday night.best one wins a prize.
ps, i tried out this hairy biker recipe, its fab

Atb Paul.

That looks like a GREAT WEEKEND. I am sorry that I will not be able to make it this year. I am booked in for some rider training in Wales with some mates.
I will definatley be up for that next year.

Cheers, :thumb

Well funny you should say that .....

Im trying to sort out an event in Tewkesbury, for later this year.
It will be a national event, involving camping, drinking, partying, motorcycle games, more partying, more drinking, and some riding,a live band, and a disco, oh and its fancy dress too.
Its by the River Severn and its a cracking venue.
All profits will be to "Action for Heroes".
But im still sorting out details like, i have no band or disco, but i do have a venue, camping grounds,a pub which does food,oh and a campsite.
But i need to get on and book the venue, which i havnt done yet.
I have some chums on the lookout for a live rock, rock n roll,or blues type general music kinda band thing.
i'm getting the bug for doing these gatherings, and if it raises money for the poor busterds who are getting shot on a daily basis, well thats fine.
but its case of sorting it out.Paul.

Camp out Update....prices etc

HI all, here we are again.Just to confuse you all, i have found a better venue for the camp out, same area as last time, but about 1/2 mile away.
I can send you northings and eastings to make it more interesting, or if you dont have sat nav or map reading skills, i can tell you the address, its really easy to find.
We can do the camp out thang, and do clay pidgeon shooting on the same site which is a bonus.
The views are simply stunning, if its a nice weekend bring your camera.
Invicta moto is also sorting out a ride out too for saturday morning.
We also have a porta loo which will be placed nearer the camp, to save the walk to the bog.
Prices:

Camping is a tenner a head inc a contribution for firewood.

Clay pidgeon shooting:£30 for a 50 clay shoot inc of shotgun loan.

Wildlife bar-be-que and demostration will be on saturday evening and is £20, all you can eat, skin, cook, pheasant, partridge, rabbit, wood pidgeon, trout and this year we have a haunch of venison, and a fry up included for the sunday morning all for £20.
"Billy the fish" and "Big Pete" will show you personally how to gut, skin,de fluff,de feather the above and cook it,what you do with meat afterwards is up to your imagination, last year Nigel made a cracking Pheasant thai curry.
If i can sort it, we'll have a knees up on sat night, im sorting the disco equipment shortly, dont forget fancy dress, and no you cant come as a biker....imagination lads....Ladies welcome, dogs under control please.

You can arrive any time friday afternoon onwards, you will have to sort out your own tea for friday eve, or dial in a pizza!,saturday morning ride is to include a visit to a cafe somewhere for a brunch which you are paying for, then its wildlife bbq sat eve,and a billy fry up on sunday morning, sun lunch is for you sort out.
Let me know what you want to go on,tickets for the clay pidge need to be paid for in advance, so they can get the shells and clays, gift paypal is good, or a cheque,up to you,the camp and bbq can be paid on the day.
Ill email a receipt back to you for the clay money.
ill pm everyone who has expressed an interest, there is miles of room at the new site, its massive, 20 tossers have expressed their wish to go, so it should be good.
If you want to go, room is not an issue, any profits made are going to action for heroes charity.atb Paul.
ps with a it of luck ill be able to twist the farmers arm and use his jumbo fridge, for the beer..woohoo.

Paypal payments

HI Chaps, can you add your forum name onto the paypal payment under the "note" section.
it makes it easier to tie up this end.cheers lads.

So far...

Joe c paid for shooting
dave the driverpaid for 2 shooting
Dave gs paid for shooting
GS or Bust paid for shooting, bbq, camp(i bet hes doing another curry)
Little Dave paid for shooting
George paid for shooting

thats all i have got at the moment,if you have paid by chq, ill prob bank it nearer the time.
The menu is being added to all the time, ive decided its apple, leek, cider and onion soup garnished with guyere cheese and fresh granary bread and fresh butter to start, followed by game of your choice, with vegetables, and hopefully a jeux gravy, and probably a cheesecake and cream to finish, followed by cheese and biscuits.obviously if you want to deviate, its up to you.
keep you posted.Paul
