Non-ABS bike...what's this for?

I don't know why I didn't pay attention to this before...but now it's bugging me.

Are the lower forks the same on ABS and Non-ABS models (mines a 2012).

As you can see from the pic...it looks like somethings missing there. On ABS bikes I think that's where the ABS sensor goes. But on non-ABS bikes what goes there instead? Nothing? It looks unfinished as it is.

Yep, nothing.

Its the mounting bracket for the ABS sensor.

Paint it black. It'll blend in nicely..

Touratech missed a trick there...they could've easily sold a 10p piece of scrap as "Faux abs sensor guard" for £15.

** holy cow they do make something like that ...but it's chuffin' £20 plus £7 postage! As my first foray into BMW ownership these prices for accessories are taking some getting used to.

Watch the GSer adverts or avoid TT stuff in favour of Wunderlich (nearly as bad) or Rugged Roads (a bit clunky sometimes).
