Due to the crappy and seemingly endless winter I have totally lost interest in the Plastic Maggot project!
The motor runs but the project can really only be viewed as a blank canvass. The rear frame has been shortened and so a standard seat will no longer fit.
It lacks an airbox/filter and could really do with the carbs being opened up and thoroughly cleaned. I changed the oil last year to see how she'd run after being stood up for years and after buying a new battery (which I shall be keeping) she fired up and ran after several attempts and got up to operating temperature.
This bike could be up and running as a hack for a fairly small outlay but forget any ideas of restoration.
In truth I was never over enthusiastic about doing something with this bike and only took it on because it was clutter for the previous owner.
It could be used as spares or broken up and sold for spares or taken on with a completely open mind and viewed upon as a blank canvass project bike.
I need this gone asap, in fact by this weekend!
I shall be picking up another bike this Friday/Saturday which will be the focus of my attention for the next few months and really do need the space , like drastically!
The CX is 95% complete and comes with the V5.
I don't really expect any takers at such short notice but hey, the offer is there. If it hasn't gone by the start of next week I shall probably break it and sell the parts as spares.
Bought this as part of a package but never used as only needed one keypad....
