Two pairs of Salomon SX51 ski boots. Old but in very good condition and used for either 1 week or maybe 2 weeks. Men’s size 11 / woman’s size 6. Free to anyone who wants to collect them

Anyone need a mitre saw… Wickes 1800W going begging

Good bits:
It slides, it does angles, it’s free

Bad bits:
For detail work I’d be buying a new blade (and a new saw)
It’s missing its vac bag

Collection from Halifax, West Yorks

A pair of R&G tank grip/protectors that appears to fit R1200 GSAs from 04 onwards. Do your research. PXL_20240415_071220033.jpg

Long shot on here maybe but you never know ... Maxicosi Cabriofix infant car seat. It's a group 0 (zero) I think. It was a which? magazine best buy and is a great bit of kit. Comes with all the bits and the brochures etc. Includes built in sun shade and separate (original) rain cover. It has been used and is not pristine so is no good for anyone wanting to impress other Mums but is safe and sound and I would have no hesitation putting my kids in it. It has been in the garage for years so is dusty and it needs a clean. The straps need a deeper clean. Can be used with isofix or without. The base (Easyfix) fits onto the isofix fittings and the chair clamps to the base. The base is still in its box (couldn't be bothered to take it out to photograph) and is in better condition than the seat but still as used.

I know which? magazine and others say never buy these used. I bought these new and confirm they have never been in an accident. I would put my own kids in them without hesitation. They may struggle to fit at 7 and 8 years of age now though :D . We only bought good quality recommended kit.

Some people are asking £25+ each for these. Some spare parts are £10+ on their own. I need the space but can't bear to chuck them away. The local Alice Charity can't/won't take them. Far too good to send to landfill despite needing a good clean.

Free for collection only from ST5 8RQ (Newcastle under Lyme Staffordshire near Stoke on Trent, Crewe, Stafford, Macclesfield for those who can't find Google maps :D ) roughly equidistant from junctions 15 and 16 of the M6.View attachment 313195View attachment 313196View attachment 313197View attachment 313198View attachment 313199
It's a group 0+ size seat. Top quality kit for nowt. Any use to anyone?
Car seat and base now gone (not on here 😭 ) :D

Seems such a shame to throw these, but that’s probably just the sentimental value, my dads (bless him) woodwork planes, he was a joiner and these have been sitting in my garage since he passed away nearly 25 years ago. Free and collection from near Chester .IMG_5043.jpeg

Don't throw them!

If no-one takes you up on your offer then there might be a local 'men's shed' that would take them, if not then see if anyone is running an 'old tools for Africa' scheme or similar.

We've got a few schemes round here that refurb tools like this and send them off to third world countries where they'll find a second lease of life.

Hi John, I’m near Chester, I do travel around the country a bit, depending on where I may be able to drop off.

Cheers,

Ill get dad to check where they are based.

However Sparkplugs idea of helping a local community group sounds like a great idea

Word from the hoarders corner.

I “lost”my dads Stanley plane to my former “best mate” 25 years ago or more when he borrowed it to fix a door. Despite repeated requests to return it, he never did. I am still pissed at him.

If these planes are able to find a good home for functional use and or restoration, I am happy to pay for UK shipping before they disappear into a dark void.

Just saying, in case there is some really random conspiracy of nature that needs sorting out.

Grizz...

The man how gives you tools, and then offers to give you the same tools six months later, because he forgot he gave them to you already.

But also the man who remembers a tool that was lent and never had returned 25 years later.

A perfect example of intent.

If you give something to a friend then there's no score kept or expectation of recompense. If you lend something to someone, you expect the decency of having it returned in some capacity or other.

It's why we get on so well. We see the world in similar ways when it comes to this stuff.

All of the above.

My dad loved Dougie like the prodigal son he never had. A great guy but fuck, what a hooligan.
So when Dougie asked my dad if he could borrow his plane fix a door in his house, my dad said of course.

Problem was that he never saw it again, despite me asking many times. Even after I moved to the UK.

UNFORGIVEN.

Howard, I'm in Hooton just down the road from you. I would be happy to look after them for you. I do a bit of woodwork from time to time and they can join the collection I inherited from my grandfather many years ago. They would not be sold or otherwise disposed of.
