My first one was in 2013 non ESA and I thought it was brilliant, but have had 3 more with the ESA and it is superb, just the fact you can adjust on the fly is worth it.
Having said that when I had the 2013 I had never had ESA before so thought it was the dogs

As you know ive had quite a few bikes
i prefer not to have it, never had it on 4 bikes prior to 2012, then had it on my 2012 triple black and never used it, didnt have it on my L/C GSA which ive just been to italy on, wound the preload up before i left because of the luggage, got home and rewound it.Ive now just ordered the new 2017 TB GSA and it comes as standard otherwise i would not have bothered.
Personal choice, yes.....needed, no

No probs at all, both Bahnstormers and vines gave me competative quotes, got a good deal

Given the issues myself and a fair few others have had with the ESA, i'd be perfectly happy with normal suspension.
tbh thats where i was going it does seem to throw up frequent probs,and the ride from the esa bikes always seems a bit harsh when i have road tested them
My only problem would be, that i like all the other bits you get on the TE spec bike. I don't know if a standard GS specced up withe everything except the ESA would work out cost effective?
