The battery in my 2007 GSA doesn't have enough uuummmppphhhh to turn over!

More often than not it doesn't start on a Sunday morning and, to be fair, it doesn't turn a wheel from one Sunday to the next.

My solution is to charge it on the Saturday night which usually does the trick.

Today however was more problematical.

It started ok(ish) this morning. Called for a tank of gas and guess what....got the dreaded "click"......absolutely nothing!!:blast Fortunately i picked a filling station which had a sloping forecourt and managed to bump it. :nenau

This was followed by 1.5 hour ride including some motorway with revs in the region of 5500 RPM.

We stopped in a pub carpark to plan a route round the north yorks moors. Route planned, we remounted and set off, or at least that was the plan. It did start but I stalled the damn thing.

Guess what.... it wouldn't bloody start again! :nenau

We spent the next hour trying to bump start the thing (without success) then finding a filling station with a set of jump leads.

To cut a very long story a little shorter, i got home checked the sat nav wiring which i installed 12 months previously but couldn't find anything.

I did however notice that the battery terminals were covered in a white residue ( BTW new battery fitted about 10 months ago). :nenau

Any ideas folks.

I am thinking of calling in an auto electrician but wondered if any fellow members have any helpful thoughts or ideas.

Many thanks

Batery is fecked.:thumb2 should be under warrenty

That's is the conclusion that I was coming round too.

I do however have a little doubt in my mind.

The white residue i have seen on old/knackered batteries in the past has had a dry powdery/granular look about it, whereas the residue i saw yesterday seemed have more of a dried fluid look .
