Hi

just a quick question - what's the consensus on what the acceptable leakage current for an 06 1200GS should be? Mine is a standard model with a BMW fitted alarm system. No other gadgets or gizmos fitted.

I measured the leakage current with the alarm off and it is showing around 14mA. I seem to recall reading somewhere on here that normal is in the region of 3-5mA for these bikes.

Be interested to hear what the collective knowledge base has to say on the subject.

Thanks and Merry Xmas

John

No idea what the standard is but if I measured that I wouldn't be at all bothered. That works out at 71 hours per Ah lost from the battery. If you're using the bike every week or so you wouldn't even notice it.
