pester `em!
Honestly, mate if you`re worried, Id pester the hell out of your dealer! You`ve
handed over large wads of dosh for your bike, and part of that is buying some peace of mind and aftercare for your purchase.I would get up there and nicely ask to listen to the engines of the same model they have there and see what you think.Dont get fobbed off with the old `oh they all sound like that routine.
Actually get them to prove to you that they do in fact, all sound like that` If you still think yours sounds like a road drill compared to the others, and assuming you`re still under warranty nicely inform them that you are not happy and will be leaving your bike with them to investigate further. If you start to get the feeling you are being given the old flannel,I`d suggest nice has had his shot, and its probably time for Mr Firm!Might be best to leave Mr Angry and Mr Menace ouside for emergencies only

FWIW my 2010 F8gs also seems to have occasional bouts of excessive mechanical noise coming from it.Often after its got properly warmed up,but not always

also sometimes get the` noisy out, quiet in` clutch syndrome too,but not always

Seems to purr at other times, especially when first fired up (tickover much smoother then too

) I started to put some of it down to state of mind,I think everyone has had those spurious `Im sure I can hear those pistons scraping, big ends knocking, valves coming loose` moments

.
For me its usually on a long late night solo journey. However this is not a mechanically quiet machine, think we just got to live with that if we can,or wait until the new Triumph comes out,and chop it in!After hearing the hideous banging, rattling and knocking coming out of a beautiful mint condition Ducati a whle back, I stopped worrying got earplugs and invested in a Leo Vince carbon muffler and cut the dB killer in half.Sorted

Good luck,happy trails
