Thought you lot might appreciate this list of the best Normandy POIs. It's not an exhaustive list of all the sites, just some of my own faves. Remember the Normandy battlefield was huge so there are hundreds if not thousands of monuments, memorials, vestigies, museums and cemeteries.

If you click on the google maps link, you can download the KML file and then use that to convert to whatever format you need... not done that yet. If anybody does it before I get round to doing it, please feel free to post it.

On the 6th June the Zenith IMAX, Caen are showing a 40 minute 3D Documentary 'D-Day Normandy 1944'.

Tickets are FREE. I knew of 3 evening showings but they're full. However, when I contacted them they offered me a morning showing, which I snapped up - they're going VERY quickly.

If you want a ticket get in there now. Contact the Calvados General Council who will mail you the tickets - if there are any left...
