Norn Iron & Fireworks??????

Just had my first ever trip to Norn Iron alas it was on business and not two wheeled play-time and never saw the best bits of road only travelling between locations in Antrim, Belfast and Bangor, anyway I digress...

In the whole week there I did not hear or see a single firework and yet one of those there (who incidentally spent 4 years living there) reckons bonfire night in Belfast was worth seeing - was he joshing me

Came home last night and it was like eve of Diwali in Slough

In this part of the world we have never had a "celebration" on Guy Fawkes Night tending to do the firework thing on All Hallows Eve.

Local authorities have been cracking down on illegal firework sales but they stilll take place so if you'd been here a week earlier you might have found things different.

For someone who lived there for 4 years you'd think he'd know his July from his November, thanks for the head's up I'll have some fun with that tw@t next week
