Any body interested in starting up a meet venue/ride out in the North Bristol/South Glos area?
Plenty of good venues and ride routes in this area. If enough interest I'd be up for organising.:blast

Ok David, hopefully we'll get a few more, then we can sort out a venue or do a ride out. If not it's you and me dude!!

This might make things a bit easier for you....

It's mostly Gloucestershire based meets, but there's a complete mix there and always on a Wednesday night

Not reason not to do your own thing as well, but it might be an easy way to get a core going, everyone can see where the next meet will be, get directions etc...

Bit early in the year for the new listing yet, but it should be up there soon

Good response so far. Thanks for the 'Bike Nite' thread.

I was thinking we could start it off with a ride out on a weekend soon (Sat or Sun I'm easy).
If that goes well and there is a demand for it, we could start a monthly meet at a venue during the week and if the weathers kind and with the lighter evenings approaching we could incorporate a short evening ride out.

I will arrange a ride out/meet up sometime in February, unless anyone has a burning desire to get out there sooner.

Ride safe.

I used to live over in Quedgeley and still know a fair few guys over that way. They've got a few good routes they run up through South Wales and over to the West coast, normally clock up 300 miles + Nam to Nam done a couple of them but never recorded a route

Lovely lanes and scenery though, probably worth taking a punt at it - the beauty is we'll be able to do in on a single stop, the guys I normally ride with are stopping every 80 or so miles :)

I'm interested. Will keep an eye on this thread.
Plenty of places to see and routes to do whether it be Somerset, The Cotswolds, S. Wales. The worlds' our oyster.

Might i sugest a sunday morning, meet on the a38 and a quiet run over to get the obligatory saussage sandwich at abber bus station whos up for that?

Sounds good, I had something similar in mind, followed by a run back up towards Hereford, then across to Glos.
Just for a starter!???

Next Sunday, weather permitting ( 1st Feb)??

OK, looks like we got ourselves a day out!! Might be wet, but what the hell!!
If we're gonna go to Aber-bus station to start, it might be best for the Bristol people to meet at Aust services, Do the Glos people want to go straight to Aber whatsit to meet up or come down to Aust??
Some idea as to whos doin what woud be good. Shall we say 9am at Aust for 10 at Abervageny?
