I'll second that!:thumb2

Many years ago I wrote off their Yamaha 750 Phaser (mini v max) demonstrator with only 350 miles on the clock and they couldn't have been nicer about it.

Mind you haven't been back since then.

What did you break:nenau or did they order the 6inch platform boots so you can touch the ground:augie

Hmmm. Must've sharpened up their act since my last encounter with them. Was far from impressed.

I'd rather go to Ayr Motorcycle Centre.

Delt wi most of the dealers at some time or other, caldertons of inverness where ah bought ma 1150 new from 2002 were good as ah got ma first service from them free. Being a mechanic to trade I used to spend most of my time re-servicing bikes for mates that some of the dealers had "already serviced"Not just the fact that they had missed out a few things but had made them worse.Had a new tiger in 94 from scotbike and out of curiosity I got my first service from them too.Apart from the fact I got it back with a couple of broken bolts(brand new bike.nuthin siezed) both all the valve clearences and carb balence woz alot worse than when it went in and the chain woz so tight that zero play woz measured. I haved worked on bikes after repaires from most dealers and majority of the repaires and servicing from other dealers woz a discrace.Used to hear good things about victor devines and the "old mcs in paisley".Wullie Busby in paisley was ace aswell. Never heard a bad thing bought him.

Yeah I rated North Harbour as well, did all the work on my VFR. Even did an expensive warranty job on it without moaning despite the fact I had bought the bike elsewhere. If I'd been buying another Honda I'd have gone to them. Wouldn't touch Devines with a barge pole.

Isn't North Harbour owned or part owned by Victor Devine?

If that's the case, you've just shattered my illusions. I thought it evolved from the old Harry Fairbairn Honda dealership that used to be in Irvine years ago?

I could be wrong, my wife tells me I often am.... but I was told at the time when the 'new' North Harbour was formed that VD was behind it. Been told the same many times since. (Not by the same person!)

I was unimpressed with VD and equally so with NH. But everyone's got a good story and a bad one for every garage/dealer in the land.
