To alternate with Eynsford, we have a regular meeting on the 2nd Thursday each month.

Meet at Whitewebbs House, Whitewebbs Lane, Enfield, Middlesex EN2 9HW from 7.30pm.

The place is a Toby Inn, so nosebag is available.

Greg, we floated the idea of meeting a bit early when the nights got lighter, and takinging some trails / lanes before heading back to pub.

When are you up for that?

Dave

I'm up for that. In fact I was thinking:

  • 8th May - easy GS-able trail ride
  • 12th June - Group photo at Whitewebbs
  • 10th July - evening visit to Whitewebbs Museum of Transport (TBC)
  • 14th August - easy GS-able trail ride

How does that grab you?

Greg

8th May trails. Wot time are you thinking of starting?

Sunset is around 8:30pm, so 6:30 should give us a couple of hours to make total arses of ourselves:D:D

6.30pm prompt seems a decent starting time, but I'll have to work out a route (paging Mr Miles!) so the starting point may be different from the Whitewebbs finishing point.

Should I warn Claire that a load of dirty men will be pitching up at her pub?

Cool idea for an off-road ride! :D

Obviously weather-permitting, but please can it be do-able for ye olde G/S airheads (non-Wreford spec) with original spec tyres (i.e. not TKCs or similar) :rob? If it's more of a pogo/expert ride, no worries - I'll be waiting with the beer and bandages......

Better late than never....

Oh how i remember that photo being taken, Climb wall, put camera on tripod, get everyone in place, press the timer button on the camera, jump off the wall and run like feck, stand by bike and smile.

Thanks for sharing it with us David, even if it was taken 7 months ago:eek::eek::eek:

Country lanes I can do, if somewhat slowly, but haven't done any off-road so it will have to be the beginner slopes for me. Otherwise I'll be keeping baker company at the bar!

Thursday's gentle trail ride details:

The RV will be at The Rookery, Welham Green which is here.

Be ready for a 18.30hrs ride out.

The route should be entirely GS-able, but I don't plan to reccie it beforehand (although the lanes are familiar to me). It won't be too long - I would hope to be at Whitewebbs by about 8pm.

As my GS is sans MoT (although I hope to get that done today), I'll be on my DR-Z but with road tyres.

See you there.

Greg
