North of Spain Rally 2022

Looking to see if I can go and will take my R60/5..

North of Spain Rally

I called into the rally site last year to get a flavour for the event and liked what I saw. Organised by a doctor and his son apparently? Over half of those attending where Brits and attendees had a choice between the local Parador (not cheap) and more economical accommodation. Each days ride out had GPS data or paper route maps available.

I intend to attend this year and may also go to one of the other events at the same time.

I am trying to work out if I can rustle up the money... it isn't cheap.

No, it's not the cheapest, but it is good value I think. I went with some mates last year and we usually just sort our own trips out, so an organised trip was a new one for us. We all thought it was excellent, well organised but in a very low key and laid back way. We're booking again this year.

There are some quite economcal hotels offered on the entry form , its on the M C Indianos website.

I have had their email each year... yet to see n Spain at all. Biaritz and Cap Breton is as close as I have been - otherwise I have always been offshore heading straight across the bay for the Canaries and eventually Madeira.

Did the colombres rally last year and a year or two ago. Really nice rally and well organised..

Rally du Nort

Hi all
The venue has been changed a little this year, we now stay at a different place than last year, on the coast I think.
Last year I did the Colombres as well, but this year only the Rally du Nord
Both fantastic events and in my opinion well worth the expense . 2000 glorious miles in two weeks on my Venom!
Regards John O

Hi all, has anyone found out an details on this Rally for this coming year ?
I fancy doing this, or something like it, before I croak it, and as time is passing by etc, I had better get on with it....
Is it one hotel for the week, or does it involve moving kit each few days etc ?
Cheers

I went to the Columbres rally this year which was fantastic.
I believe that the North of Spain rally is much lower key ?
Anybody thinking of riding down ?

Hi Steve, I was with you on the Colombres this year. I did NOS rally last year, and rode down. It's not lower key, just different. Everyone stays in the same hotel so it is more social. Evening meals can be all taken together too. We all started from the hotel frontage, which was cool. The rides are on different terrain and there are different things to see. We started in Colombres on day 1 and rode to Navia. On the last day we reversed that route. It was fun but different fun. Not sure what I am doing this year..

Im thinking , do NOS and maybe 4 or 5 days of Columbres rally before heading down south .
I spoke to a guy who was heading down to Faro after the rally so im thinking that would be a nice trip .
Not sure weather to ride down or do Portsmouth - Santander ferry .
What bike was you on ?

I’ve also got a Venom which I’d love to take on this.
Any intelligence on this greatly appreciated!
Cheers!

Been thinking about doing the NOS or Colombres Rally for a while. As 've pretty much decided that I'm not going to do the Manx this year the NOS could be my annual foreign jaunt instead. Hmmm
