My 1150GSA went in for its annual service recently and as usual I can't fault the experience. I arrived at 830 with the intention of staying the day and working at a work station upstairs to avoid using a days leave. Unfortunately there is only one work station at the moment and someone beat me to it. As I was setting up my laptop at a low coffee table upstairs a lovely young lady (Jane I think, but I have been on hols for 2 weeks since) came up from main reception and offered to find me an empty office to work from - result! My bike was ready and washed just before lunch but I was able to stay put and get my day in with tea and biscuits on tap and the bikes to mooch around when I needed a screen break.
Compared to some other dealerships I have experience of, both bike and car, Matt and the guys at NOG stand out when it comes to friendliness, honesty and a desire to please the customer.:thumb

I agree about the service, a few years ago, after some cylinder head work on my old RS 1100 Boxer, a cylinder head bolt gave out just outside Karlsruhe in Germany, causing a major oil leak, considering it was a Saturday lunchtime, Matt was prepared to drive a van to collect me, leaving at that instance! I convinced him I could get the bike to Belgium to stay with friends, so he came and collected me from Belgium instead at no cost!! Top Bloke! :thumby:

That's it then, to save renewing my breakdown cover I'll just take Matt's number when I go touring...:thumb

I too use them, never had a bad experience, always friendly and helpful.......top blokes! :)

I've been using them since 2006 and never had a problem. I've bought from them and sold to them. Always a seamless experience.

Thumbs up from me too, out on my 2007 1200gs last week and used the heated grips for the first time, throttle side not working. Got the bike from North Oxford in July. Usual BMW warranty. Booked in for a warranty repair Saturday morning, no quibbling, all free, great outfit.

Great service from North Oxford BMW - popped in yesterday for my appointment - they replaced the heated grip under warranty while I had a coffee and read the paper, they also cleaned the bike too FOC - great bunch.

North Oxford weren't up & running when I bought my 1150GS back in 2003 so I bought from Hughenden and then went to Woolaston for aftersales and I have to say that thanks to poor service & care (or lack of!) neither are on my Christmas card list!

Contrast that with 2-weeks ago when I went into North Oxford. :D
I needed to front telelever ball-joint nut cover and decided that as I was passing I would pop in on the off-chance and see if they had one in stock, I wouldn't be passing that way for another couple of weeks and as the sale of the bike was imminent there was no point ordering one as I wouldn't be able to pick it up until after the bike had gone. Of course they didn't have one but said that if I wanted to pay for it they would post it on and it should reach me before my bike was sold. I paid my 37P and low and behold, 1-week later my part arrived sent 1st class in a Jiffy bag. :thumb

Ok, we are only talking about £1 for P&P but it is seriously good service and shows more good will than I recieved from either of my previous dealers. Just a shame I am about to become an ex-BMW owner.

Surprised about Wollaston, always found them really helpful, I'm pretty sure they own North Oxford BMW now as well, all part of the same group.

They probably didn't have one as I bought the last two they had in stock :D

NOG took over the BMW franchise when Hughenden M40 lost/resigned it (delete as applicable)

"Surprised about Wollaston, always found them really helpfull."
Maybe that was then and now they are better, certainly I used them for the first five years and then decided I had had enough. Luckily I discovered Motoscott just down the road from me and he was like a breath of fresh air to deal with.

There was a gap otherwise I would have straight to North Oxford rather than Woolaston as Oxford is more conveniant for me, I seem to recall the garage was still under construction quite a bit after I had taken delivery of my GS. What pee'd me off about Hughendon was that they allowed me to order my GS knowing full well that the day I picked it up (1st Sept 2003) was the first day they were no-longer a BMW dealer. They negotiated with Woolaston for my initial service so I stuck with them getting more & more annoyed with them each year, at the time I was wary about going to another franchised dealer in case they were just as bad. That said, I went to Oxford for a recall on my ABS and they were fine but by then I was looking elsewhere and discovered Motoscott.
