North Wales trail ride - Saturday 28th March. (pogo only)

Can i come

I've only got Camille in off road trim and she's neither a pogo or a GS. She's very managable on even the roughest stuff and can manage ruts upto 20inches deap without catching her pots. Ideal for dry dusty desert conditions but quite capable in mud.:D

Go on let me come, she needs a day out:thumb2

...but I can't make it on that date unfortunately. Please let me know when the next ride out is though as I'm as keen as mustard!

Cheers, Jenkins

Ditto, would have been very interested in this, but I'll be out of the country so will have to keep an eye open for next time....

look forward to reading the reports when I get back though.

Hi - I'd be up for this. KTM 640E - I'd probablyhave to come up the night before and find a campsite (camperwagon) - any ideas?

And your point is - Mr look at me in my camp camo riding gear ?

:blast:blast:blast

Is that me you are dissin' :D:D:D

I'll have you know it's warm and dry, all that counts in my book. If lookin' good is a requirement of off roading then most of us are fecked :thumb

Hi Timpo i'd love to do it as well but my bikes have been stolen by scumbags:mad:
Have a good un and keep a eye open for me ktm! oh its orange colour:D

Hi WP.
As Earthmover kindly pointed out in my absence, this is a pogo ride and not suitable for large GS machines.
XR250/400, DR(Z)350/400 and the like are perfect and all fall under the pogo banner.

There will be other rides to suit larger machines so I'll keep you posted.

Timpo.

ok can i come on an old klr 650,hope to have one soon. wp

Sorry, maybe next time Burtieboy, this ride is full. Keep an eye for the next ride-out, it will be posted in the same section.

Riders on the list, just so you know, i will expect the ride to follow the TRF code of conduct. I have no patience for idiots or stunt riders.
This is not a race or enduro, so no bike will be displaying race numbers.
If anything on this page grieves you, please think carefully about attending (there are plenty of reserved names to take your place).

TRF code of conduct:-
Use only vehicular rights of way.
If in doubt, check with the Highway Authority or the TRF. Motorcycles and riders must be road-legal. Green Roads are subject to the same laws as surfaced roads.

Keep to the defined way.
Wandering from the road onto farmland or moorland is trespassing.

Give way to walkers, horses and cyclists. As a courtesy, on narrow lanes, stop and switch off engines.

Acknowledge the presence of others.

Fasten gates to safeguard stock.

Travel at a safe speed.
Taking regard of conditions and visibility.

Ride quietly. Machines must be effectively silenced. Use the throttle with discretion, as noise does offend.

Honour the country code.
Respect the countryside and those who live and work in it. Green Roads can be valuable habitats, so take special care in spring and early summer.

Timpo.

The route will be ideal for riders of lesser experience and preference will be given to those looking to improve the off road riding. Female riders are very welcome, and as usual, nobody gets left behind.

Timpo.

Timpo, :thumb2

Just to let you know, I'm a total novice & only got my 2nd ride under my belt today. As soon as I snick up to 2nd gear I know I'm going to fast for my abilities.
My GPS data today states 4.3 miles - 1 hour 2 minutes - avg speed 4mph
I may end up being the guy everyone waits for!

No pressure dude, the others can go ahead and wait...... or go home if they're not happy. The ride was advrtised as a lesser experienced ride-out.
I'll give you some pointers...... the first one will be to get ride of those sh!te TKC80 tyres. There is a wide selection of skins available for the wheel sizes fitted to the DR350, the TKC would of been my last choice.
We can discuss this further on the day.

Timpo.
